FAQ & Troubleshooting
This FAQ section addresses common issues including not receiving confirmation emails, forgotten passwords, lost coach codes, pending join requests, accidentally finished workouts, macros showing 0, changing trainers, photo upload issues, language switching, account deletion, understanding RPE/RIR and advanced set techniques, missed workout status, messaging trainers, payment methods, and non-functional Google sign-in.
- 1If you didn't get a confirmation email after signing up, check your spam/junk folder, use the Forgot Password page to trigger a reset email, or contact your trainer or GainSync support.
- 2If you forgot your password, go to the Login page, click Forgot password, enter your email, check your inbox for a reset link, click it, and set a new password on the Reset Password page.
- 3If you forgot your coach's invite code, ask your trainer for their 6-character invite code which they can find on their dashboard, then enter it on the Coach Requests page or during onboarding.
- 4If your trainer hasn't accepted your join request yet, you can still use the app as access is granted the moment you submit a coach code.
- 5If you finished a workout by mistake, you can delete the session from Session History at /workouts/history and then re-do the workout.
- 6If your macros show 0, your trainer hasn't assigned you a nutrition goal yet so message them or wait until they assign macros.
- 7To change your trainer, end the relationship with your current trainer by asking them or having them use the end-relationship action, then enter a new trainer's coach code on the Coach Requests page.
- 8If you can't upload a progress photo, make sure the file is JPEG, PNG, or WebP and not too large, try a different browser, and note the web app uses your browser's file picker with no built-in camera.
- 9To switch the app's language, go to Settings at /settings and use the language switch to pick Čeština or English.
- 10To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → delete account and confirm.
- 11RPE means Rate of Perceived Exertion (how hard a set felt, typically 1-10 where 10 is all-out), RIR means Reps In Reserve (how many more reps you could've done with good form), and they're two ways to express the same effort with auto-sync.
- 12To-failure means you couldn't complete another rep with good form, myo-rep is an advanced technique with a heavy trigger set followed by short rest-pause follow-up sets, and dropset means reducing the weight mid-set to squeeze out more reps.
- 13If your workout shows as Missed but you did it, you probably didn't start/finish a session in the app for that day so start a session for that workout and log your sets.
- 14To message your trainer, click Chat in the navigation to drop straight into your conversation where you can send text, images, documents, and use quick-reply chips.
- 15To pay your trainer, go to Payments, find the pending request, note your trainer's bank account number and variable symbol, make a bank transfer in your banking app using those details, and your trainer confirms receipt to move it to Paid.
- 16The Sign up with Google button doesn't work as expected on the web app so use email/password.
